About your hot air balloon flight over the South West

Your balloon flight over the beautiful Devon and Cornwall Countryside

On the day of your balloon flight you will be greeted by your pilot and crew. We will then select a suitable flight launch site depending on wind direction.

After we have arrived at the launch site you will be invited to help prepare the hot air balloon for the flight. Once ready, a flight safety briefing will be given to you before the balloon is inflated. When the final pre flight checks have been made you will be asked to climb into the balloon basket ready for the launch. Visit the gallery here.

Once in the air the hustle and bustle of modern day life is soon left behind to be replaced by the tranquility of a bygone age. The beauty of the South West countryside unfolds beneath you and as the balloon climbs you will be able to enjoy the panoramic views, north across the tors of Dartmoor and Bodmin moor and south to the coast and the English Channel beyond.

Towards the end of the balloon flight your pilot will look for a suitable landing site to guide the balloon to a safe landing. Once the balloon is deflated and packed away we celebrate the flight with a glass of champagne and a toast. You may order your personalised flight certificate which incorporates an in-flight photograph of you and your fellow passengers. Please visit our balloon flight FAQ section here.

We don't compromise. For everyone's safety and enjoyment we fly just eight passengers at a time and only when the weather conditions are just right to fully enjoy the balloon flight experience that is Airtopia !
